11.03.2025NCCR Winter School in Champéry with members of the department

The members of the NCCR Evolving Language gathered last week for the Winter School and Annual Retreat of the consortium in sunny Champéry. Over a few days, our staff members were among the 110 researchers presenting their work and connecting with colleagues, from PhD students to senior professors. Between introductions to the core disciplines of evolutionary language science and workshops on statistics and ethics, members were encouraged to interact and get to know each other. 

This event fostered innovative transdisciplinary collaboration between research groups. As the NCCR researchers work from all over Switzerland, it provides a rare and valuable opportunity for them to interact in person, bridging the distance that usually separates them.
