While designing our new master's program and re-reviewing the literature it became apparant that notions like "Evolutionary Linguistics" and any other combinations of “evolution” and “language science" support highly diverse interpretations. After a short presentation by Balthasar Bickel, we would like to discuss how these different views relate to each other, where the field is heading to, and how our own work and our plans are positioned in this.
