In this informal presentation I will discuss my statistical research activities with special emphasis given to my statistical applications. The "narrow" view of statistics represents my theoretical work in spatial statistics and the "wide sense" can be seen as the breath of applications where statistical models for dependent data is necessary.

With this talk, I intend to illustrate possible points of contact between ISLE and my work and how my statistical knowledge could help the ISLE community. Whether the title for the presentation is appropriate remains To Be Assessed (TBA), for example in the informal discussion after the presentation.
