The department is represented by several talks at the Biannual Meeting of the Association for Linguistic Typology, Canberra, Dec 11-15  The following department members are involved in one or several talks (in alphabetical order): Balthasar Bickel, Stefan Dedio, Francesco Gardani, Mathias Jenny, Dagmar Jung, Steven Moran, Peter Ranacher, Sebastian Sauppe, Sabine Stoll, Paul Widmer, and Taras Zakharko. In addition, Bickel will teach a pre-conference crash course on new quantitative methods in typology.
