Morphomes (systematic morphological patterns in paradigms at odds with meaning) have been quite thoroughly studied in Romance but hardly beyond. In his book, Borja Herce presents a cross-linguistic database of 120 of these structures, which he describes for all relevant variables following a multivariate typological approach. Results highlight the importance of purely morphological paradigmatic structures in language while conceding the relevance of features and values.
