Postdoctoral Researcher
Distributional Linguistics Lab
I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Distributional Linguistics Lab at the University of Zurich. I'm interested in the neural processes that allow for sentence structure building at the interface of syntax and thematic role structure. I obtained my PhD at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics in the Netherlands, where I characterized the neural responses to structure building in sentence production while systematically comparing them to comprehension, in an attempt to comprehend to what extent linguistic representations and processes are shared when speaking and listening. During a postdoc at the University of South Carolina, I focused on how these processes are affected by stroke. In current postdoctoral work, I study sentence planning with a cross-linguistic focus.
