Yes, documented competences amounting to at least 30 ECTS credits in one or more of the relevant areas of Evolutionary Language Science (linguistics, philosophy, biology, anthropology, neuroscience, psychology, medicine, computer science and mathematics) are required.

Students can focus on diverse topics, such as, for instance, animal communication systems or the impact of social media on human interactions, adopting an interdisciplinary approach.
Note that by the end of the first semester, students will select an interdisciplinary research project to pursue in their Master’s thesis. Based on this choice, they will collaborate with the program coordinator and their chosen supervisor(s) to design an individualized study plan that can include modules in one or more disciplines.

Yes, anyone meeting the eligibility criteria (see Required documents and competences) is welcome to apply for our MSc program and undergo the academic evaluation process. If you are currently enrolled in a different Master's program, please contact the program coordinator to discuss the potential transfer of your competences and credits
Yes, you will acquire at least intermediate-level statistical knowledge. The program is designed to provide the best learning conditions through tutorials, group activities, and online courses to support your learning.
